This policy describes how The Educational Publisher Inc., dba Biblio Publishing (we, us), handles information on the Biblio Nova website (biblionova.pub) and in the Author Portal. 1. What we collect on the website. When you ask for a quote, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your book's details (title, page counts, size, copies, and any notes). Like most websites, our server also records basic technical information about each visit, such as your network address, browser type, and the pages you view. 2. What we collect in the Portal. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash); the book information, files, and specifications you submit; records of the steps of your project, including approvals you give and documents you sign in the Portal (with the date, time, and network address of the action, kept as evidence of the signature); and payment-related records for your project. We do not collect or store payment card numbers. 3. What we use it for. Answering your quote request and sending you your estimate; producing and publishing your book; administering your project and royalties; communicating with you about it; and keeping the legal records that publishing requires (for example, ISBN and Books in Print registrations, which are public bibliographic records by nature). If you ask for an estimate, we may send you a few follow-up emails about it. You can reply to any of them asking us to stop, and we will. 4. Cookies, advertising, and analytics. Our website uses the Google tag, provided by Google LLC, to measure how well our Google advertising works. When you arrive from one of our ads, the tag sets cookies that let us see whether that visit led to a quote request or a new book, but not who you are. The same tag also sends Google Analytics a count of the pages you visit, which helps us understand how our site is used. Google may use this information under its own privacy policy, including to show you ads for our services on other sites. We do not give Google your name, email address, or book details. You can turn off personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website works without these cookies. The Author Portal also uses a cookie to keep you signed in; it is needed for the Portal to work and is not used for advertising. 5. What we share. Book metadata is shared with the services that publishing requires — printers, retailers (such as Amazon), distributors, and bibliographic registries (such as Bowker) — as needed to publish and sell your book. Website measurement is shared with Google as described in §4. We do not sell your personal information. Service providers who host our systems and send our email process data on our behalf. 6. Where it lives. Website and Portal data are stored on our hosting provider's servers in the United States. 7. How long we keep it. Quote requests are kept so that we can follow up and, if you go ahead, set up your book; you may ask us to delete a quote you did not go ahead with. Project and signature records are kept for as long as your book remains in print or as the law and our agreements require. You may ask us to close your Portal account at any time; records required for royalties, taxes, or the publishing agreement are retained. 8. Your choices and contacting us. You can see most of your project information in the Portal itself. Children. Our website and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. A parent or guardian may publish a book written by a child through their own account. 10. Changes. If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new version number, and the Portal will record which version you accepted.
